Uniaxial geogrids “RGC UNIAXIAL GEOGRID”
"RGC UNIAXIAL GEOGRID (UG)" polymeric geogrids are produced from high density polypropylene, obtained by extrusion, with subsequent orientation of the molecules in a perforated sheet in one direction. The material is a polyethylene flat grid with a long and narrow ribs for sustaining high tensile stresses.
Materials of various brands with maximum strength from 55 to 180 kN/m can be used.
EFFECT OF THE MATERIAL APPLICATION:
• reinforcement of soil for increasing the stability of the subgrade;
• cost-effective alternative to traditional reinforced concrete retaining walls;
• reduction of allocated area during the construction of high road subgrade;
• reduction of delivered inert materials;
• opportunity to use local soil for subgrade to provide global and local stability;
• cost savings on construction of engineering structures in comparison with traditional solutions.
APPLICATIONS AREA OF “RGC UG ” UNIAXIAL GEOGRIDS:
• construction of the roadbed of transport and site infrastructure facilities with high steepness of slopes;
• increasing slope stability of the road bed on soft soil foundations;
• construction of earth-retaining walls, bridge abutments, earth dams, protective constructions.
